VDB Comparison Pics

Last year my VDB showed heavy signs of FMV but improved as season progressed. This year it is just starting to leaf out and looks much healthier

Today

My experience has been that it shows up early in the season, and then somewhere in the middle of the season. I suspect it may be a function of something cultural - maybe humidity or temperature or watering.

Seems some at least mine as well do good with FMV .
Yours looks pretty good , mine showed it well early in season and as season marched on and it got many new leaves they looked better all the time .
For what its worth Sal my Maderira did the same after i nuked it to death.  ; )
Im very curious what the leaves will look like this season as they are getting ready little by little to open the buds there starting to crack as i like to call it.
Some might say "yeah your starting to crack as well"   ; )
Best Health

Don't know why I didn't see this this morning. This is a different branch on same tree the leaf looks distorted and almost seems like it is trying to put 2-3 leaves in same spot. I also potted up 2 of the 3 I had rooting in cups VDB and Conadria I also re potted my Madeira in a lighter mix it is really struggling I will give it a few weeks to adapt and then start fertilizing. hope the Madeira makes it.
Back to the VDB it is leafing and branching very nicely and I hope to taste some this season no breba showing as of today
Here is the weird leaf

Hi Sal
your plant is still somewhat of a stick no no disrespect but it will really put on some growth this season in your weather and you may get a couple figs.
Whats that wire you given them electrical shock treatment?   ; )

Looks just like my Petite Aubique Negronne from French immigrant neighbor. Leaves are identical. It hasn't even sprouted anything yet this year. Wonder if this variety is slower to leaf out.  All others are leafing. One thing for sure, it has buds so it is alive, just lazy I suppose.

Martin I got that wire tied into the 3rd rail and if they don't behave I shock them good and a light comes on...  OK April fools was yesterday and Bass got me...lol   That is called micro tubing with a drip emitter tied into 1/2 inch poly ran along my cage which is on a timer into a hose spigot. I usually water by hand but it is convenient for me when I'm away for any length of time or when I want a nice slow watering 2-3 gal per hour. I can set time of day, length of time, and how many days per wk. They also sell different size emitters from 1-5 gal per hour and also adjustable ones, and if you have different size pots or plants that require more or less water you just change the size of the emitter. I hope that makes sense

I cut the top of the one trunk so hopefully I get more branching I will see as season progresses
Maggie they might be similar if not the same Negrome and VDB
Sal

Here is mine:

My Vdb is doing better this year too. Only one leaf so far has the mosaic pattern. I'll have to keep checking the rest of the leaves to see if any more of the pattern develops later in the season.
