Hi I'm curious how looks like your figs in ground in this zones, I would like to compare. And you can write if your figs give you main crop.

Here is mine fig

Hi Maris
I am also in zone 6.  My in ground figs are just now starting to push their buds and show a little green.
Your photo looks like my potted figs.  Could it be you are really in Zone 7-8 or you are having a very hot spring?

No for sure I am not in this zones, as far as zone is for minimum temp. I cheat a little my climate with this. I paid for it something about 2$ ;)[f201401241422_11510]

But figs withouh this help also have some leaves

I'm in zone 7a but am having a zone 6a (or 5b) Spring it seems.  None of my in-ground figs are anywhere near as far along as the one you show in your pic unfortunately.  The Adriatic JH had a strong start around the beginning of April with brebas and leaf buds popping out all over.  Then it got hit by three nights in the mid to upper 20's (F) and it was set back by at least 1 month.  It still is not close to leafing out again.

I'm in Z 6 and I have some trees that look fine but haven't budded out yet and some trees that have ten or more leaves at full size.

Bob, are the trees you describe in-ground?  If so, it is impressive that you have some with full size leaves.  This mid-atlantic climate isn't what it is cracked up to be.

I'm theoretically zone 7a but my in ground trees are just showing buds.  None of them have any leaves.  Many of my potted ones have had leaves for a month or so.

I'm in Zone 6 (Northern NJ) and my 2 in-ground have small leaves and figs on them.  They are about 5 feet in height.  Pics posted below.  They would be further along if it weren't for the 10 consecutive days of rain!

I'm also in zone 6 on the southeast Connecticut coast. All my trees are just starting to push buds and a few small leaves, about the same as figgi11 in NNJ. If we could only get some warmth and sun.

So it's looks like here in Poland in this year so far we have better condition than north-east US coast. I hope that we all will have really good summer time with a lot of sun and heat.

Hi all,
In my Zone7, in ground trees have either 3 small leaves or are just opening buds.
I have one in pot with 3 full sized leaves + 2 smaller leaves, but since last October, she is on my balcony facing south.
She had 3 figs, and there is currently one remaining. Late cold mornings and probably lack of water got the 2 others to drop.
I potted her up to have more held water in the pot.
I have a neighbor next street that has a fig tree on the balcony facing North (other side of the street), and his tree is just opening buds.

Lots of my in ground trees have more brebas than leaves ... for now.
Funny, for the first time in 8 years, my Longue d'aout has brebas (4 currently) .

Zone 8a for comparison... same tree two angles. Most brebas lost when it got to 28 degrees a few weeks ago.  IMAG0524.jpg
