They are just chill'n in the garage waiting for spring.  I'm going to air layer them down come spring, short and bushy is better for me then the taller hight they come from JF&E at. Plus. .. I'm turning 3 trees into 9, how can that be bad? 

Do you know when they are going to arrive?   I know that feeling of can't wait, I'm there as well. For Spring, and items I have not even ordered yet. ...   they need to hurry up!

Awesome ! I did the same thing last year with a Negronne from bay Flora . It grew to almost 8 feet by August and I air layered it in half. The top kept and ripened the figs also even though I had to cut it off and plant it in end of September ! Good luck!

Nice, I'm glad to hear you good success, makes me more excited about doing it. 

Just wait until the weather warms up nicely and you ll be fine! Air layer is the way to go! Even if it doesn't take up ,you do not kill the limb!
