Vesuviana Bianca Mt. Vesuvius

Finally after 5 years I got my first figs on my Vesuviana Bianca  from the foothills of Mt. Vesuvius the figs were absolutely delicious 1 or 2 of them could of stayed on the tree another day or two but I just couldn't take it anymore I'm not the best at describing the flavor of some figs but this one is 100% melon flavor I can't wait to see if it continues next year

Thank you Dave!  This is one that I started from Maggie last year and I can't wait to try it out.  Is it only producing breba or do you see a main crop setting as well?  With my short season I'm becoming more and more interested in the varieties with good breba production.

Dave you got all the good stuff ! Looks very heavy flavored. Nothing watery about this one. They all look a bit different in the pulp. Almost Carmel. Good for you. Richie

Richie, Richie, Richie, whats mine is yours so we both have allot of trees Your on the list for cuttings this Fall

As far as the taste they were not watery at all the 2 that could of stayed on a little longer were just a little bit milder than the others

Dave, I'm terrible about taking pictures, but I found this one of her in the center of this group.  I took this pic because this one is special to me.....my grandfather was born near Vesuvius (Scafati).  Can't wait until she looks as nice as yours.
