Victoria MP

A couple of pics of a Pons fig that I got from Harvey. He and I shared the first ripe fig from this tree, last weekend after the fig get-together. It was quite good for a 1st fig, and after tasting 20+ varieties earlier. I ate the 2nd one yesterday, and thought it was even better than the first. There are many good qualities to this one. Flavor, good fruit size, vigorous, upright growth, and it is a Pons fig. Sorry there aren't more photos, but wanted to share what I have.

Beautiful ! How many grams it was?
That is the one to put in a wish list!

Thank you all, for the comments.
Igor, I'm not positive, but it's good sized. Maybe in the 50-60 gram range.

Gary,

This is a very attractive and tasty black fig
A 'must have' .
It seems to have benefited from its new home and climate in various aspects.
Congratulations

Kind words, Francisco. Thank you. I have benefited from the generosity of many friends in the world of figs. I agree, that Victoria is very attractive.

The first fruit was 47 grams (46.74, to be precise....Gary has a precise scale!).  Gary is doing a great job growing this tree, I have not got fruit from there tree at my place yet but it is growing well.

Thank you, Gary and Harvey!
