Video: How to Propogate Fig Cuttings (by guess who...)

Thanks for shareing that Michal , seems like there might have been more after the video stopped at the 10 minute mark. I enjoyed the video .

I have seen picture of Jon before but hearing his voice he seems a bit younger than i had thought a semi blad head is not always a indictaion of age.  ; )

Hey hey i can make that statement my head looks the same Jons just a tad bit more handsome.  ; )

I really enjoyed that, It was nice putting a voice and face together

Thank Michal & Sal for posting. Had seen Jon's picture before, but never heard his voice. Thanks! Tim

Hey Sal thanks so much for posting the rest of the video. Just finished watching it.
You know Jon's presentaion of propagating really shows how simple it is and one does not need anything fancy to get roots if he or she chooses
I like the part where he states there all different when it comes to rooting them some stubborn , some grow a few roots , some grow many .
Thanks Jon

At least for me it is much easier to comprehend something by seeing and listening. I think some times we read to much into some thing and make it harder than it really is ( I do that many times in different things not only figs) I do believe in applying  the KISS method in many of the things I try to do. Even a Cave Man can Do It is one of my favorite commercials

( But more like Hell in Summer )

Sal,

If you want to know what Hell is like then you need to be in Yuma, Az. in July or August. It cools off to 110 - 100 at midnight.

Or Laredo, Tx. around that time. To name a few.

Leave the hair spray home ladies. LOL

I guess I have to figure out who in the audience did the video. It was the San Diego chapter meeting of California Rare Fruit Growers, 1/27/2010, It is our annual scion exchange. So we did rooting that time, and in February, I took the pix and put together the visuals on grafting for the presentation that a friend did. Would be nice if I have time to get those pix posted. This video is the same material that was used to develop the "Growing Tips" Link at Figs 4 Fun.

Rafed that is funny I have spent some time visiting Phoenix  AZ in those months and have been exposed to temps above 118 as norm but talking to locals after finding out where I was from the most common response was Yea but it is dry here. I don't care who you are 120*-127*  is fig-in hot, dry or not LMAO brings back nice memories pretty country to say the least

Sal
