Vince UK3 . Help identify

This is one of 4 unknown figs I picked up from someone whose family brought it from southern Italy . The tree branches very nicely and easily creates a beatiful tree form without much pruning . The leaves are very healthy and  glossy with no fmv showing .
It formed only 1 breba and the main crop is late in coming but hopefully will ripen . The flavour was not figgy but sweet and uniquely subtle  .

Fig at 95 grams .

Like thick maple syrup

Thanks for watchin..... John

Could be Paradiso.

I noticed today the leaves on my Vince unk 3 and paradiso gene look allot alike.

Both my paradisos have fmv pretty bad . This variety has no signs at all .
Also fruit development is later .

John

John picture 5 look at 12 o'clock could be faint display of fmv looking at underside with sun shining down thru the topside.

In 2008-09 i believe it was i showed fmv by looking on underside of leaf with growlight above it.

Here is another way to look at those same 2 leaves .

John the paradiso from joes garden is the Nero. Genes paradiso is green skinned red pulp. Not saying that your unk Vince #3 is the same but they are fairly similar I'm sure in time we will be able to figure it out.

Breba is a nice size too and looks great.

Martin , thats interesting . I have heard that most plants have fmv to one degree or another . My other paradiso neros have it so bad that hardly a leaf was of normal shape and branches were thin & stunted to the point that fruit formation was badly delayed or nonexistent .
Nelson , I was not aware of a green Paradiso . Hopefully main crop develops fully to get a better idea.

John

John my potted paradiso Nero is in really bad shape inground is doing  much better also my dads and adrianos have some weakgrowth

Hey Nelson

Both my paradiso neros have recovered and are forming mainly normal leaves and figlets but not likely to ripen most of them due to the initial delay . They are around 2-3 years old . If they dont smarten up by next year then out they go ..

John

You got it, no space to waste. If it Dosent perform out they go.
