that sucker is a fig maker :)

Hey Mike it definately looks like a great fig, that Lower branch has your name all over it lol.

Nelson, do you have any information about the Vincenzo fig and the tree. It sounds interesting and your tree looks like it will be productive. I've looked around and found nothing about it.

Hi Gene, the best person to answer this question would be Paully22 as I got it from him. The Vincenzo is an Unknown Italian fig that was collected by Pauls Friend Prof. Michael Bostock I found an old link on gardenweb that shows some pics of the Vincenzo fig.

Akram has a nice one ripening. It goes from red to dark color. Many a times, Vicenzo would bear figs in its 1st yr started from cuttings. Its a keeper for me & so far prolific for main crop. Not sure about breba as the cold always knock them off. Hopefully those that I have shared this variant in warmer zones in USA can report on it. Its taste is very pleasant, not overly sweet but very nice. Its a large dark fig, especially its breba & main crop is smaller, slightly bigger than a golf ball. According to the gentleman I got this variant from, he thinks it is in the Brogiotto family of figs. Its an in-ground tree kept outside for over 3 yrs. This variant taste is very similar to Enrico, another large dark fig.

Nel, hope you get to enjoy some of those main crop figs.

Thanks Paul, I hope they ripen I need to get a bigger pot soon as the roots are growing out of the pot into the ground. My Enrico is only a quarter the size of the Vincezo. The Vincenzo is loving this Toronto Humidity thats for sure.

Thanks for the link Nelson. Gee those are very nice looking. I have a young cutting growing down here in South Louisiana and it seems to be thriving well. Hopefully next year I can post pictures to compare against.
