Violet De Bordeaux

This morning a co-worker that works with the Misses came over to pick up his little fig plant i rooted for him, he is Italian born i think around Abruzzie not sure of spelling. He goes back once in while and say the family lets there trees grow wild there and there white figs and very good. I mention to him how to get wood back to this country and maybe try to get a dark type.  ; )
Anyways he was happy as we talked some about plants i have .
I mention to him the plant next store i rooted right near same time last season and his may be around same sixe next year.
Here a few pictures.

Martin,
Looks great!

Just trimmed one of my own VBD as well. Was growing too wild and no fruit.
Managed to make a few rooted 20oz. cups as well as save some cuttings.

Great plants, love the leaf shape!

Ciao Martin, your friend is likely one of my paisani, Abruzzesi, he's likely from Abruzzo/Abruzzi which is the common name. Ask him where he is from, Teramo, Pescara, Chieti, L'Aquila. Just curious, these are the provinces.  We are from Chieti Prov.  Very Very beautiful your trees. Always look so healthy. Best health friend. Ciao

I will ask my wife to ask him at work he is on vacation next week but i will post back 2 weeks.
He is big fella but nice and really enjoys figs.
