Let me clarify one important point.-
This fig is not VdB (greenbud question ?)- It's Violeta
IMO , Violeta, Black Madeira and Figo Preto are synonyms.
It's a Common fig and does not require pollination to mature

I do not see any rimada effect on this fig skin...may be faint very shallow ribs appearing on some fruit or depending on a string of factors, various skin dark colors from brownish to blue and black.
In what concerns flavors, yes this Violeta does have a mix of rich acidic berry like savours.

Thank you,..Your BM is not even close to be ripe because your climate is different, the cultivation practices are certainly not the same, etc.. My potted figs grow and ripen in a 10++ climate, semi-desertic zone, plenty of sun hours, less than half a mile from the sea, and subject to pollination.
My fig in your place would do exactly as yours is doing.
