I am looking to trade for cuttings or rooted  Violetta Bayernfeige, and after I purchased some Nero 600m on E-bay (of course); I made my wife a promise no more fig BUYING for one FULL year ( this goes for any tree or vine actually @:^(~)>  My wife says we need to concentrate on what we have, and much is watered by hand ( irrigation is almost maxed out the pressure our 1.5 HP well pump can provide and keep alive in the summer).

BUT trades and what I can propagate is OK with her and specifically excluded from such heresy that I am beholden to.

I had two cuttings I got on a generous offer from a member, but they were green, and sat in the post box I am far from until they had mold on them ( Between tracking issues and my holidays the blame goes both ways...).

What do I have to trade?

Hollier Cuttings

A Rooted Austin Pomegranate ( Syrian Actually). ( red peel and arils/flesh)

A Rooted Nakitski Raani Pomegranate (  aka R-19, aka Crimson sky).( red Peel and  Arils/flesh).

Tx Everbearing cuttings or rooted ( yellow brown fruit like listed by DuRio nursery, but from Wellsprings...

Some "Extras", just ask. :)

I also lost all 2 MBVS cuttings, so I could trade for them as well. Or Adriatic JH from a healthy source.

All my trees that I root /take cuttings from are vibrant and strong trees, and i expect the same in return, sorry i have to stipulate that.

AS a bonus...if possible, please post pics, tips and experience with  Violetta Bayerunfeige.  I grow on a sand hill in Northern Florida, pretty close to AL, and GA. 160 ft in elevation.

Thank you all.

Edited to try and fix Bayernfeige by adding the missing "r"

AND FICO SAINTO cuttings for trade.

Lewi i think most of us here who have wifes/husbands/partners etc have had the "how many figs do you need!" conversation, my wife has threatened to throw my winter cuttings out the window more than once, i have now made a commitment that i have to recoup any costs through selling any duplicates so keep my costs down by trading and when spring comes any doubles will need to be sold on eBay for the sake of my space/finances/marital stability. Any duplicate unknowns i cant sell i have decided will be used for guerrilla gardening along the brook/nature area just down the road or will end up as presents.

Im afraid i cant help you much on your cuttings search as im on the other side of the Atlantic but i am also growing Bayernfeige Violetta, its a young plant at the moment(as are most of my figs) but ill post on it when i get some results. From what i know its supposed to be an English Brown Turkey type but supposedly more prolific and is supposed to be winter hardy in continental Europe. How much of that is just marketing hype(it was or is a trademarked variety from Germany) i don't know but i also have English Brown Turkey to compare so i will find out if it is any different. I suspect it probably just a healthier than average selection of English Brown Turkey. Im sure others here are growing it as well so expect them to chime in

Haroon,

Thank you for the kind words.

I can't complain too much, my wife helps to water and weed on occasion. We live on 20 acres...most is forrested, and thorny vines and wild blackberry (och!) Make up most of the local fauna.

I have about 20 olive trees (arbaquina, picual, mission, koroneiki, kadesh barnea-k 18, and one ascolana. About 13 in ground figs, and 7 pomegranates....plus tobasco pepper, 30+ muscadine grape vines, and about 35 pots to water...it's a lot of work, even with some under irrigation.

I wish you success with your wife and with your figs. :) It seems you have come to an equitable solution...

As for guerilla gardening...there is a big fig tree on the steep side of a hill, in an over built ghetto, that old and poor people are said to climb and eat from...that I am most proud to say "it must have planted itself." :)
