Nice review, thanks for sharing!

Another great video review, thanks a bunch for the effort.

How old is the tree in the video ? Did you buy it from a nursery
or is it a  cutting you rooted ? I see VdB's in 3~5gal nursery pots
fairly frequently at the local Home depot and Lowes, usually tagged
from Dave Wilson nursery.

I put a VdB in the ground in my backyard last fall and this is it's
first summer with me. I'm getting the same double main crop season,
with the second batch just now starting to fill out. I wasn't here for
the first batch in early July, but I understand the birds enjoyed them
immensely. The second late crop will be very appreciated by me as
I generally stay away from home in June, July and August to avoid
the heat. I like trees that make a fall crop and can make it through
the summer with no effort past programming the drippers. For the first
year, VdB is working out that way for me.

Thanks for the feedback.

Bada,
I got that tree at the end of 2010 from a generous forum member.  It was already a couple of years old at the time, but it had been pruned down to about a foot tall with multiple stems.  The birds love the figs from this tree.  It seems to be their favorite from among my fig trees.

Nice video Joe! I'm rooting this one now and hope to taste one next year. Seeing your video takes the anticipation up a notch! I think it's humid enough here that it won't dry out like yours. I hope! Keep the videos coming please!!!

Great review Joe.  I have a VdB and Negronne planted in the ground this year from a winter cutting.  These are the only two varieties I have up against the house, as our winters can get pretty cold.  Looking forward to the day mine looks like yours.

I have a baby and another on the way. Can't wait to get a fig from them!

Have you though about drip irrigation to boost your yield? If they are as good as you say, perhaps it's worth it.

Great video Joe...thanks for sharing.
