Violette de Bordeaux, did not split from rain this time???!!!!

After 8 inches of rin this week my 5 yrs old Violette and it's cousin Aubique Petite did not split nor lost flavor like in 2008,and 2009.
Very big surprise for me,as I was openly bashing this cultivar about this problem.
The only explanation I have is that once it gets older than 5 yrs old it adapts to rain and it makes wonderfull flavorfull fruits.
I also seen the recent testimony of George M,saying that it is his best fig now days.
Notting that in 2008 George's Violette splited totaly, just like mine,it must be that it adapted to rain in his garden also, and now it makes good fruits.

I also remember many forum member complaining in 2008,about Violette not tasting good.
What a good surprise indeed!

Yes a very good tasting fig , i tasted last season( first time) a lousy weather season here for figs and was on par with my favorite fig HC, this season it was the best in yard as it matured another season now in its 4th.
Last year and this season it never split that i recall.
