Violette de Bourdeau, Negronne and Petite Aubique

These figs as the pictures will prove are closely related.  Not only in pictures but taste wise.

They looks like in the same group.

Seems to be very slight differences in the fruits. VDB seems to have the most flesh of the three.

ok I'm a fig newbie trying to read up on everything I can.... but I thought VDB and Negronne were the same. I guess not judging by the fruit in that pic???

The exercise is meant to stabilize a description of very similar varieties.  Thanks, ejp3!

Based off of the newly revived thread "Doesn't look like... Petit Negri... but is it?" it would be interesting if someone had some good foliage pictures of these three (VdB,Negronne, & PA)to compare and contrast as well.
I have a Petite Negri from Raintree. It is young (I pinched the primary at 29 inches in July) so based off of the wisdom of the senior members I can't judge leaf shape entirely yet, but they are mostly 5 lobed with a few 7 lobes and the thumbs turn out when present. Funny thing is of all the pic's in that thread mine looks the most like Herman's pictures of Negronne in post #42, less like Petite Aubique, and not at all like the 3 lobed PN.
A mystery wrapped in a conundrum inside an enigma.
