I bet that was a trip worth making Dennis. I look forward to more pictures.

That Dennis has a grin on his face like a wave on a slop jar!

Ya have to be a country hick to understand!

Dennis was like a kid in a candy store!

Dennis, upload your video to YouTube. It's easy and free.

Sue

These are great pictures. Love to put the faces with the names! It is hard to look at all those figs on the ground, though. When you only have FOUR that look like they are ripening at the moment, it seems a wasted bonanza!

AnnieBee, Trust me, if they were good, they would not have ended up on the ground. Most were under or over ripe and did not have a good flavor. Those that did...well they didn't end up on the ground! ;-)

Sue, you have made me feel much better!

It was a real  pleasure to meet Sue, Jon, and Dennis for the Davis tour. We ate of course countless figs and after a while had quite a sugar high!

This year some of the figs that stood out where the Hative d'Argenteuil, dark red, jammy, my favorite that day, usually the V de B is with the winners but this year it was not at its peak yet. As we were getting started Dennis and I were pleasantly surprised by the Excell as well which often gets lukewarm reviews. Other delightfull ones,  the Celeste  and the San Pietro, very juicy and good flavor but not a pretty fig.

Ditto Joe! We had a great time. That second day was better than the first. I have not finished converting my pics. I am ready to go back for more figs!
