Hello, I had previously believed the tree to be black mission. Cis4elk suggested that based on the violette de bordeaux type leaves it was likely a vista black mission. I have compared the leaves to my violette de bordeaux and they are identical. The tree is vigorous and grows quickly, as do its rooted cuttings unlike the VDB. I took pictures of the second round of figs which are either late breba or early main. To my knowledge the figs are always looking and tasting the same, despite the crop. These pictures are typical size and taste. The flavor is definitively berry flavored. I hope that these photos will help for a positive ID. The one fruit shown was a bit overripe but tasty, the other less flavorful because it split from humidity.

Looks a lot more like Black Mission. FYI, VBM is VdB by DNA.
It was originally sold to my mother as a black mission. I posted as a possible vista mission because of a previous comment. The mother tree would be about 7 years old. I had read that VBD and VBM were same by DNA test in earlier forum posts, I can say that this tree is very vigorous and it's offspring as well. I hope that someone with one or all of the trees in question can verify what I have. Thank you.
The fruit in the pictures of the first post are not cracked, to give a better idea of "normal look". Honestly, knowing how many trees and years of experience you have I would trust your opinion pitangadiego. If you don't mind, can you tell me if the black mission leaves look like mine?
