Hello and welcome!

Welcome Christian!

Your tag caught my eye. I grew up knowing a family named Feigenbaum (as well as a family of Nusbaums and Tiffenbaums).

Hi Dale! Nice to hear from you. I chose "Feigenbaum" because it is the german word for "fig tree". I guess it is an old jewish name. I really like the sounding of it!

Btw: "Nussbaum" means hazelnut tree

I caught the fig reference. I don't know that the Feigenbaum family did. I don't think they were Jewish. They went to a Catholic school. Maybe somewhere in their ancestry . . . .  Lots of Dutch/Deutsche names here, many from Amish background. My  own ancestry includes Sauder, Lehmann, Bucher, but  no one ever suggested growing figs. That came from the Italian side.

Some update picture of my cuttings spending mothertree that is suppose to be "Bayernfeige/Bavarianfig  Violetta"

As i mentioned before the tree ist getting not much sun so i guess under the full south sun the fruit will be a lot darker?

Just to make sure once and for all:

BV yes or no? ;-)

Thanks a lot Suzi. Of course I know.! But I am not the owner of the mothertree I am the owner of 5 healthy cuttings from it :-)

My trees and cuttings get as much sun as possible!

As I am kind of new into growing figs, thanks for that aspect Alan.
