Hello everyone. Hopefully this will be of value to others as well. I am in the Los Angeles area in So. California, zone 10 or Sunset zone 23 or 24 (some ocean influence but gets fairly hot during the early summer, yard is sloped, facing north. Because of my location I can grow most varieties but not sure ones like Kadota will get enough heat for best flavor. Once I realized I loved fresh figs I began collecting plants and cuttings of many varieties and now that I have my own home to plant them in the ground I want to plant only the most delicious and get the widest fruiting season possible. I don't seem to have a good breba fig and most of mine fruit in August. Any and all suggestions and advice is much appreciated! Named (hopefully correctly) varieties I currently have: Brown Turkey Celeste (the green variety with red inside) Violetta DE Bordeaux Negronne Black Jack Strawberry Verte (from John) I also have ones that I don't know the name of: 2 trees that seem to only get 4 feet tall (after many years) with small, black sweet figs 2 trees that seem very similar to Black Turkey in growth (huge) and fruit but seem to be sweeter in flavor
