Wanted Strawberry Verte

After the exceptionally long cold winter we had in Connecticut about 15 of my trees have still not broken bud they are still green just very slow this year but I did notice 3 or 4 trees that turned brown I doubt they are coming back and one of those trees was the Strawberry Verte that I thought about all winter and couldn't wait to try the fruit this year, so if anyone has a plant they would like to sell please let me know. I'd love to get another one , Thanks Dave

Dave,

I started a few pencil thick cuttings some time ago . They are growing in a cup outside and I can ship one. Not huge yet, 3-4 leaves.
Please pm me.

I have some plants dave.

Dave are those potted or in ground? Maybe they'll come back from the soil line, I had a few I thought were goners surprise me and come back.

Hey Vince It's possible but I doubt it, it's in a 5 gallon bucket it was 4 ft tall and it started turning rusty orange from the top down I cut off about 2 ft dead wood now the bottom half is turning the same color

I over wintered it in my greenhouse  the greenhouse has a large plexiglass clear window on the front and the few trees that are dying I think they got scorched from the sun , super hot during the day and freezing cold at night this winter I will be putting some shade cloth over the window the rest of the greenhouse is opaque white and it doesn't reflect that super heat on the plants

Fertilize them and wait.  Figs often come back in Aug from below the ground.
