Water propagation working well.

I just put this cuttings to tap water  in jar on radiator. (I change the water 2 times per week). 
Working great. Fig start to grow.

Are there any roots yet?

No, but appears something like this.

Most important for cuttings is the roots, you want roots before any leaf or fig growth.

The roots will show up at some point but ... they will be no good in the soil. The water roots are quite different from the peat or coco originated roots.
I tried water rooting a few times and every time the plants were under a long shock after the potting up.

I would pot into the soil as soon as the roots start appearing, probably. You will have a higher chance getting the figs up.

You received some good advice that's for sure. Water cuttings have been my least successful method. The reasons were already stated.

For me, rooting in water was the best and easiest rooting method with 100% success (6 out of 6). I had no problem when planting the rooted cuttings in soil afterwords.
I started the cuttings in the middle of summer, though, so that might have something to do with my good success rate.
