I used tap water and now I have big fat roots in the soil mix coming. Not on all yet mind you. Snow melt was a pain for me but in theory the same as rain.DominickZone 6a-MA
CE 4656,, Yes, snow is wonderful! I collect snow then dump snow on the potted figs if they need winter drink while still dormant inside, melts down inside slowly. Not much as while dormant they don't need much water. Good luck!
