i decided to try watering every day, since some of my figs were looking fmvish. they came up from the roots after being frozen to the ground, and then sort of sat there. the new cuttings i put out were growing slowly.
the happy news is the watering daily has made a huge difference :). most of the ones with lousy growth are now zooming along. from now on, it's 99 minutes of drip irrigation every day.
i've got little figs on several varieties now. if the critters don't get them, i'll have the chance to do a lot of taste testing this year. it's amazing how much growth you can get on a 3 node cutting in just a few months.
