Watering depends on several factors.
1) Temperature. Warmer temps mean more transpiration (water loss through leaves) and more evap from soil and likely higher soil temps.
2) Humidity. Lower humidity means more transpiration and more evap from soil..
3) Soil type or potting soil type, drainage. Faster drainage means less water retention.
4) Pot size. Larger pots generally lose water less fast.
5) Plant size, esp. relative to pot size. As plant becomes larger compared to the pot size, it needs to support more plant with the same amount of water storage capacity,
6) Amount of sun/shade plant experiences. Shade is the opposite of sunh, reduces water loss, soil temps, etc.
As an idea, at 75F my one gallon pots get water every two days. By 80F, every day. In ground trees go from twice a week at 80F to 3 times a weeks at 90F,
Newly rooted things need a little water more often. As they grow, thye can be watered less frequently with more water.
