So I finally got moved into my new house. Yard is nice but there are a ton of weeds(thorny or I'd deal with it). I sprayed the yard with 2,4-D and the weeds are mostly dead now. My question is how long should I wait before putting fig trees in ground? I read up on the chemical a bit before using it and it seems the half life is 10 days in the soil. Has anyone else ever gone through this?

I read every word on the label. Says nothing as far as how long until it's safe to plant. The closest thing it says is that if certain tough weeds are not dead within 3 weeks, use one more application by spot treating it.
