We're doin' the Fig Shuffle here in So California!

Last night 20 degrees!  What!!  YIKES!  Supposed to do that again tonight, so they are all in the garage and VdB has been pruned.  If you are expecting VdB from me, it will go out tomorrow and Tuesday!  I have a lot to ship!

Weird thing is, some of those cold hardy ones don't show a sign of leaf loss yet... those like Marseilles VS Black, Hardy Chicago, and a few others.  Amazing some just hang in there!

My little seedling is green as green can be!  It's stem is hardened, but it's leaves are lush green!

Our news report for San Diego Zoo said, even the polar bears are cold!!  They lost all that fat layer that helps them survive the cold, and have become acclimated to mild.

We are in shock, but it appears this is just a blip in the road!

Suzi

you had me fooled...thought you were talking San Diego when you brought up the zoo... I lived in PB in never gets that cold there...

Think of it as good exercise. ; )
Edit: just checked its a balmy 15 currently heard later next week Akram and co. sending little bit colder air.
Always cold around birthday time .

Well I'm pretty close to PB and it was 33 degrees last night on my digital thermometer.  We're actually feeling a little winter here LOL.

Meanwhile here in the WV mountains it's been in the 60's all week, and up to 72F last 2 days!
When it should be in the 30's - 40's!
The ski resorts are all freaked out! LOL
I sure long for spring, only 5 months to go! :(
We're all amazed!

5 months more!!!!!!!!  I really do enjoy the early spring here in N Texas!

Crazy Texas weather!!!
Saturday 72 degrees right now 31, freezing rain.winter mix expected in next 2 hours, up to 1/2 inch snow possible.  Everything inside, all is well on the tree front.
