What a GREAT Summer for Northern Fig Growers!

I looked over at my only inground fig tree today, and I was surprised at how good it looked for an inground tree this far north (MA/NH border).  The long hot days up in New England this year have given us an unusually early and strong summer season.  The fig trees love it!  My inground tree seems to be liking it even more than the potted plants.  Here are picks.  Hope this keeps up all year!

Joe what type of fig plant you kept us in dark.  ; )

Hardy Chicago. Best northern fig I've come across so far. It almost seems like a dwarf that does well growing close to the ground in places with cold winters.

The summer continues to be good up here.

Updated photos of my inground Hardy Chicago on the border of MA & NH.

Figs are small this year, but many and ripening early.
