What did you Order or will Order

Ottowan.  I took your advise on the Natalina.  I also requested one of the productive Celeste varieties and one of Sue's Portuguese varieties (the one said to resemble Black Maderia, but ripening earlier).

Between these and what I requested from UC Davis I should be pretty well supplied for this coming spring.  I just hope next summer is more productive for me than last summer was.  With the number of 5 gal and larger figs I've got I should be getting more than a dozen figs altogether.

Bad news.  The rate of recidivism among fig addicts is 100%.  12 step will just slow you down for a while.  But then it could be worse...and more expensive.

A good size fig orchard of your own will take care of your addiction. I don't think anything else will work effectively.

Got my order. Can't wait till I get home.
I will be very busy and enjoying it.

Thats my favorite part ENJOYMENT simply having fun.  ; )
Course eating them too.

Martin,

We should declare this THE YEAR OF THE FIGS!

I got Beall OC, VDB, Col De Dame, Black Madeira, Abebereria, Chico Strawberry, and Preto.

The only one I missed out on that I was really hoping for is Hollier.

my hollier 2yr plant from James Robin looks great.  Top 2/3 of the main stalk died in transit, but it broke dormancy about 4-5 weeks ago and is pushing out several huge, beautiful dark leaves right now - the younger leaves have almost no lobes, very gorgeous.

I also got  nice Hollier from James Robin last December along with several others. Nice plants, the price is right, and he's a wonderful man to talk to.

Here they are Martin, ......rooting :)

Hi Remis,
thanks for shareing the picture.
I can count around 9 cups maybe?
If thats the case and you have more coming from ucdavis plus a few from me yes your gonna be in trouble.  ; )
Im looking at that gauge is the top reading the temp and the bottom part the humidity in the container.

Hi Tom, are you growing your plants in containers.

I ordered 15 varieties, but they were for a friend. Six of those varieties came in groups of 3 cuttings, so in hindsight for those varieties maybe I should have given him two, kept one and of course prorated the cost for him so it was fair. Oh well, next year! :-)

Hi Paulandirene, that was nice of you.
Maybe your friend if they root for him or her can give you scion or a baby plant in the future, then it enables you to order something different from Jon next season.   ; )
