What happened to...

...my BREABA!!!!???????

I checked my tree tonight when I got home from work and they are GONE!!!!  I don't know why!!!

I am very sad :( :( :(  I was looking forward to some early figs for Memorial Day weekend.

Any ideas?

Oh no!!! Were they on the ground? Did they just disappear like in...something ate them? It must feel devastating. Looking at those breba and waiting, waiting, waiting through fall and winter....sorry to hear :-(

I feel your pane. My old in ground White Texas Everbearing had loads of brebas a few weeks ago but now has none. This is a regular occurance for this tree for me.

My new Brown Turkey in in 1/2 33 gal barrel had two brebas earlier on but now has only one.

My LSU Tiger has one that has stopped growing. I am just waiting for it to drop.

Well, here, south of you, we had a late frost in March which killed all my leaves on the 60ish plants I have growing in the ground and I lost at least 90% (guess) of the brebas I had forming, which looked to be an awesome year for them otherwise.

Temps touched 31 for only a few hours.  I was sick thinking most had died, but they are starting to push new leaves and or buds.  A few of the trees had 10" of growth before.  We had some 90 degree days in March as well.

Maybe they will put that extra energy into main crop...fingers crossed anyway.

I think I know what happened!!

HAIL!!  We had a whopper of a hail storm last week - or was it the week before?

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking with it;)

Squirrels, it's always the squirrels. I have developed a deep hatred of those thieving tree rats... Sadly wifey thinks they're cute and won't let me pull the trigger): I am going to try one of the ultrasonic units and see if that will drive them away, the squirrels just laugh at my dogs and seem to enjoy taunting them...

The @#$%&+-#-@# squirrels stole all my brebas last year, so I feel your pain. The fruit was still hard and green, so I hope they got a bellyache. Those little rats are fast!

I feel your pain guys, I didn't have many figs last year from plants, but i did have 2 figs ripening and they were stolen by squirrels and pieces were left on my upper deck to taunt me. I also have birds that will probably come after fruit too, stupid pests.

Anyone have this Yard Sentinel? Does it work, looks like some good reviews, might be worth trying.

We had a frosty night 2 weeks ago.  I have 3 fig trees that had few breba crops. Some leaves were burnt after that frost.  And now I noticed the breba's are shriveled and falling off.  They were very tiny.

I am in Dallas area.
