I'm useing a high P for fruiting for my large trees, I'm using the same for my cuttings cause I'm lazy, but I started to think maybe that's not so smart, should I use a high nitrogen fertilizer for developing trees l? U know to get more robust growth!

Miracle grow without a doubt 

I'm really liking Charlie Little's method.   On Facebook, he's been documenting how he applies Neptune's Harvest Fish & Seaweed undiluted right into the root ball with a meat injector and gives them a cup of water to disperse it.  He does this every two weeks.  That's the only fertilizer he uses.  The results are shockingly impressive.

Am about to give all my babys a 1/2 strength shot of Miracle grow. It has been working for me.

Here is one tree that I use Miracle grow to get going

Was it all the Miracle Grow Who Knows?? But I have many other trees which had the same results using it Once I get them established I go on to other fertilizers one that I am trying now which was suggested to me by Dennis is Floralicious Bloom to help the fruit production Stay Tuned! 

 

Well as a result of this thread, I went out and purchased some Miracle-gro shake n feed for my fig plants (9-4-12).  I am going to use it on all my fig plants except for the one large fig tree that has figs on it (the figs were on it already when I bought it!).  For that one I purchased Jobes Organics all purpose 4-4-4.  I just felt better using an organic one since I will hopefully be eating the figs as they mature.  We will see what happens.

I religiously used Miracle Grow a little in each watering for my house plants ten years ago.  If I say so myself I had the best looking plants.  I had two six-foot Ficus Benjamina plants in an apartment that were super healthy.  The stuff worked great.  Then I learned about organics and fertilizer runoff and how it hurts the environment and how artificial fertilizers kill the natural "flora and fauna" in the soil.  As good as plants look with Miracle Grow -- and, Dave, your plant looks soooooo good -- I just cannot bring myself to using Miracle Grow anymore.  Not that that's working for me so well with my plants right now.  They're looking a little yellow.  I added some alfalfa and that, or the rain, helped them to green up a little.  Figs must be the most forgiving plants on the planet because despite not knowing what to feed them some of them are putting on little figgies for me.

For my cuttings, minus this year which I didn't have as much success as last year, the only fertilizer I gave them was alfalfa, bone meal, lime, Azomite.  I always noticed new growth a week or so afterwards.
