What kind of fig do i really have?

Hi.

Last autumn i planted some fig seeds i got from a fig i bought at the local supermarket.
I didn't think much of it at the time, but now i am curious about what i got and if it is a possibility that the tree will bear fruit in time if i care for it.

Welcome to the forum!

To answer your question, nobody knows.
Lots of maybes but the Nature lives by its own rules.

The seed outcome has been discussed many times, please use the Search option.

Good job caring for the seed!
As a note, the leaf shape will be different starting from the second year. Now you see the juvenile leaves.

Hi , Welcome to the forum
greenfig is right. If you are lucky, you may get a good one!

Thanks. I actually don't know what my zone is. I live in the middle part of Norway.

Thanks, i guess i will have to wait and see what i've got.

Hi Raymond,

If you refer your place to Trondheim (about the middle of Norway), on the US hardiness scales you are in a sort of zone 6.. which is pretty hardy for figs!  you shall be needing a green house.
