have three 1 yr old BM in the garage right now. if they survive this winter, i'm sure i'll get to taste at least one off my own tree next year. it was painful knocking figs off those cuttings this year. i really need to get my hands on i-258 and Maltese Beauty. i want everything that looks or tastes like BM.

Pete, sorry to disappoint, but it's on my UC Davis order!  I have no clue why!  Somebody likes it, so I'll give it a whirl.  Mainly because it's hard to root, and I'd like to try!

Actually, I'm anti-Martin!  I lean toward the green with the red centers!  The Panachee, Adriatic, Verte, Battaglia.......  Those!!  But I don't think anything can top VdB!
