Where is Michael?

Hi, All! A couple of days ago i was sweetly surprised to see two tiny green leaves coming through my MDDS cuttings growing in a cup od perlite. It was so wonderful to see success.

I acquired the cuttings as a newbee here late September. I wrote notes on the cup when I started the cutting but not on my paper list. This is what I wrote: "10/23/15 MDDS F4f Michael"

The question: Michael, where are you? I dont know your forum name so i cant even look you up to thank you for the cutting. I hope you read this so you know that one of your cuttings is doing great!!

Thank you, Michael, wherever you are!
Meg

Roots! Leaves!
Now what?

You will have figs in no time! Looks good Meg...

Thanks, Iowafigs:-). Really thrilled about this small but significant success!

Thats awesome, Meg!  did you start that in a bag with wet paper?

You asked "Now what?"

If I was you, I will let the roots grow strong and more roots before transferring to soil so there will be less probability of failure.

PeterC: I started the cutting in Perlite just as you see it. I watered it with my "worm tea" consistently since 10/23. I thought it took forever to root! I was worried that it was dead but kept watering it anyway just in case. Glad I didnt give up!

Thanks, Akram!! I wondered if I should let it grow more roots. Right now I can see only one strong root. Yes, you're right....better safe than sorry. It's scary to even think of the one main root breaking while I am transferring it. Yikes!!

Could be Michael "Mike" Grace "mgginva"  a very generous guy.

Alanmercieca, I dont think its him. His name doesnt look familiarxat all.
Nor does Mike Grace.

I dont want to give the impression that the cutting was free. Sorry if i came off that way. I did buy the cutting from him but I think it was a fair price. The reason I want to thank him is that i really appreciate people here.

The cutting from Michael was nice & long. I cut it in half & saved the other half for later.
Also, people on this forum go out of their way to give advice to newbees like me so we dont make the same mistakes. Since this is my very first cutting to root EVER, i felt moved to just let him know that he sold me a great cutting thats all.

The kicker is that being new at this also meant that I took poor note of the purchase AND, I deleted the PM, to boot!
