I moved and bought a new home so I do not have much of a fig collection.

I am looking for a Celeste fig (and possibly others that will do well in the area) I have a few smaller plants that a board member was nice enough to help get my collection started with.

I keep hearing how well the Celeste does here and that it also tastes good. I would like to plant at least one in the ground so that it could grow larger and provide many figs for years to come and not have to remain size limited in a pot.

Any help or suggestions would be great!Thanks for all of the information on here, it has been a huge help so far!

Drew, next time you are in the Chattanooga area Ooltewah Nursery is about a mile from I-75. They have about 6-8 varieties this year in three gallon pots. Some already producing, give them a call when you are here. How are your little trees doing?

I sent over a text with a few pictures of the ones I have now. Looks like they are coming back strong this year and hoping they will have some figs in the next couple of years!

Did you ever find any figs in your area?  The big box stores like Lowes and Home Depot probably have Celeste or Brown Turkey out there.  Not saying that those are the best places but they have figs.   If you don't find anything shoot me a pm.
