Which is the BEST fig in Zone 9b?

Just curious.  There are so many members here that do the fig shuffle, but where the climate is Mediterranean, which is the best?

I know I won't get many answers because so many of you live in high chill areas.  But where there is no to low chill, which fig floats your boat?

Suzi

Hi Suzi. I'm in zone 9A, West Sonoma County, and don't have many mature trees yet. I do have a 3 year old Blackjack, and it produced many tasty figs last year. Friends and family all seemed to linger around it, looking for ripe ones. The low temp here is usually around 20 degrees for a few nights, and regular winter frost. Growing up in San Jose, we never could get enough of my grandfather's Mission figs. He was from Madeira, and grew a lot of amazing fruit. I'd say that the Blackjack would please most fig lovers. Hopefully, I'll have some more to add later this year.
