Which rooting method do you swear by?

Has anyone used coconut coir?? I picked up some bags of perlite today and beside it were 4kg bricks of condensed coir. I almost bought one to give it a try.

found this on wikipedia..

In horticulture, coir is a strongly recommended substitute for sphagnum moss because it is free of bacteria and fungal spores, and produces good results without the environmental damage caused by peat mining. Coir is also useful to deter snailsfrom delicate plantings, and as a growing medium in intensive glasshouse (greenhouse) horticulture.

Coconut coir from Mexico has been found to contain large numbers of colonies of the beneficial fungus Aspergillus terreus, which acts as a biological control against plant pathogenic fungi.[7]

I used it last year and did not care for it. Seemed to stay to wet for me.

Others used it last winter and liked it. There are threads about it. Sooooooooo, I would guess you would
have to try it yourself and see if you like it.

Thanks Mike.

Here is a cutting after a month in a 2 litre pop bottle using perlite and vermiculite. This method works good for me.
