white fig

Hi everyone!

Im adding some figs to the collection and want a white fig (white inside) and wondering does anyone know which ones are best?  Also anyone who sells any? Thank you for any help!

Kim, while I don't have any experience with white figs personally (yet), I have ordered White King and Santa Cruz White from Jon, so I know he sells them as cuttings at least.  Of course you can read about them here:  Santa Cruz White and here:  White King  Have fun finding a white fig for your collection.

Edit:
Sorry, I did not read your post as carefully as I should have, I missed the white inside part, so disregard White King, as it is red inside.  However, Santa Cruz White is very white inside.

Mark-  Thank you so much for the info!  The santa cruz white sure is pure white, That will be next on my list.  Let me know how yours does. Looks like I will be putting in a second order with Jon :) If you dont mind me asking was your order recent, wondering if he could be out now? Isnt it exciting to find something different or a new kind of fig to try!

Yes, Kim, figs are an addiction and a source of joy for many of us, but I'm preaching to the choir.
I ordered fairly recently (February), so you'll just have to ask Jon if he still has some SCWhite left. Checking his fig scion listing, he has Santa Cruz White 111  listed as still available, here:  http://encantofarms.com/Available_Cuttings_2009.html
Best wishes!

A recent discovery at an abandoned garden is Pan e Vino white. It's a very delicious white fig. It was originally from Sicily.

Description

Bass, that sure is a beauty!  If only I could get a taste of that one!  Great picture.

Good pic bass, I am looking forward to trying it this season.

I only had one fig off the mother tree. It was mid September when I picked it. It was one of the best single fig I ate last year. I will surely be visiting the mother tree again this summer.
Jose I hope your tree will bear this year.

That is beautiful!
