I like it but then again I haven't tasted a ripe fig that I don't although I prefer Black Genoa.

In Sydney, their open eye is an invitation to insects and rain but organza bags help a great deal.

Thanks GreenFig, you are alright.

White Genoa in Sydney is very bland and splits easy.

I love my W. Genoa. One of my first trees from Home Depot. I would highly suggest you buy it!

Bumping this:  I am eyeing a nice Genoa tree, anyone else can input the flavor and if they like it......

Well it says that its for cooler areas, maybe I will bring it inside in the Summer...LOL   It can watch TV with me..........Thanks Alan..!!!!!

Anybody has 2-3 cuttings available to try in the SoCal?

I asked Jon, he has the trees only for now.
No cuttings...

I had couple of fruits in my small tree which rooted last year. The fruit was juicy and mildly sweet. It lacks the richness . Saying that it is a very small tree and as I understand from lot of posts in this forum, taste increase with the age of the tree. I know italian people who always say highly about this variety. i will find out next year how the taste improve.w2.jpg w1.jpg

check with joe. never bought from him, but spoke to him few times. very nice guy.

White Genoa is not good in unsuitable climatic conditions.
Here it was very bland and ,inferior, but in ideal fig climate it can be delicious.
If I was you,i would look for a different white ,fig like,Adriatic JH,or Atreano,or St Anthony, and your smile will be assured when you taste ripe fruits in San Diego.
