White Genoa JM

Hey All, this is a shot of my white genoa fig from Joe Morle.  This is a 2nd year tree and is only about a foot tall.  This fig had a nice tart berry taste in the flesh.  It was still a little early on ripeness and had a thick under-ripe pith, with some latex still coming off of the cut skin.  However it was well on it's way to become a good tasting berry flavored fig.

I do look forward to this fig in future seasons.  has anyone had a similar taste experiences with this fig?

Looks good! Welcome to the forum.

My White Genoa is not JM, but I have had two years great production from my tree, the birds attacked yesterday and plundered about 5 ripe figs, nonetheless I am on record as saying this is a good (not great) fig, reliable producer, strong grower. Attractive as well. I am happy with it and will keep it.

Welcome to the forum, looks like a real nice fig, congrats.

Nice fig. As a matter of fact, just placed an order for one from an online nursery.

I have this one in CA. Your skin looks thicker than mine but everything else the same. Not the best fig but a very tasty one IMO. My wife even likes this kind and she isn't much of a fig fan...

I am pleasantly surprised with mine.  Its a very vigorous grower and my most prolific yearling.
