White Genoa with Purple Fig

I started getting my first crop on a fig that was sold as a White Genoa, and today I noticed a huge purple fig on the tree.  Could it possibly be a White Genoa?  I haven't ever seen a fig this color called a White Genoa.

I think the label may have gotten switched with a Negronne I ordered at the same time.

I will tell you when it's ripe. :)

I ,once bought 4 kinds of grapes:
from:a large chain store.
Catawba, Canadice, Niagara and Concord!
When it started fruiting, they were all Concord grapes.
So,If you got your tree from a large chain store or nursery, anything is possible.
I had white Genoa, yours is not.

I bought from Bay Flora in Berkeley.  I guess I will contact them and see what they say.  I wouldn't call them a large chain or anything, but anyone can mislabel a fig. :)

Just to follow up, I e-mailed Bay Flora and they already responded.  They agreed that it is not White Genoa (they suggest it is probably a Black Jack fig).  They will ship me a White Genoa this week.

Thanks for the help confirming it is not White Genoa!

Yes, that is Black Jack.  I can see from the leaves and the fruit.  I have several Black Jack fig trees.  Bay Flora is a good nursery.  They contacted you and that's a good thing!
