Hi Andreas, They look really good. Would you please post pictures of leaves also? ...and , when you harvest the figs, try to keep them complete with stem and all... so we can see the lengths of the neck and stem, (important features to help ID a fig)

Hi andreas, Nice figs ! If I may suggest : reduce the pics to 800*600 and take the photos in daylight outside in the garden so that the colors come out true to the reality and the photos are sharper. Is there a reason why people are not exploiting this cultivar ? Does it spoil too quickly during transportation ? Other known reason ?

@ jdsfrance i will try to get better pictures as far as the fig goes it is one of the types that gets dried and sold as dry fig it does not spoil quickly but most nurseries cant sell it unless they buy a licence.

Andreas, that's another beautiful fig you got. Just wish we had that variety over here in the US.

@ Otmani thank you just think those 2 figs that you like are not the most popular greek figs like the well known vasilika sika ;-))

Thanks Andreas. In terms of taste, how do they compare to Vasilika?

vasilika is an awesome fig (black or white) but i like the peloponnisiaka aspra or mavra, the achaiko tragano and the tsapelosiko better...

Excellent fig, Andreas. Its an honor to your cultivation skills! All is well in Greece? ( I am feeling related to the Greeks these days: I checked out my DNA history and learned that my DNA shares 90% or more of its genes with Greeks and people who live in the Fertile Crescent, Southern Italian that I am! I guess that is why we have a love for figs in common!) Joe

Yes. And here in our Athens we call ourselves the "Classic City." Also, geographer that I am, below I am sending you this wonderful photograph of the Peloponnese taken from the ISS. Joe
