Hello Vlad, welcome to F4F forum, how are the preparations coming along for the Olympics? ;)
How many varieties are you growing, any names and pics?
Few of my relatives lived in Sochi, Ukraine, it's a very touristic place with it's beautiful beaches and Dachas. My wife grew up in Kiev.
If I'm not mistaken, every Russian President had a property in Sochi..., or was in in Equatoria? I can understand why.

Now, Aaron, that is funny. We should do a Ukrainian cookout at some point :)

I knew that living abroad many immigrants from the USSR. Today tried to show one photo, but it did not boot. I will understand. A collection of my very young figs 1 year. Several old bushes were not valuable, I do them grafting new varieties. Olympics began. Today on TV show opening.That's when they started to grow figs in Russia. What are the years referring to?

By publishing this list, I wanted to show what countries figs collection began in Russia. Collection figs NBS last replenished with new varieties in 1965.New varieties of figs in Russia, brought from abroad, you can find gardeners in private gardens.

I was looking at pomegranates from Nikitsky Botanical Gardens, my Ukrainian husband told me that it's much warmer there than in the Philadelphia area, and as a clincher, he told me that they grow citrus outdoors there year round. Just saying.

ps I just looked at their official website, they don't mention any citrus, or any pomegranates. My question is, is this a warmer zone than 7?

In NBS, Yalta, minimum temperature this winter was -5 degrees Celsius at night. Daytime temperatures above 0 degrees. Snowfalls are very rare. The collection has a NBS

During numerous expeditions conducted in pre-and post-war years , all of the most valuable and worthwhile pomegranate varieties and forms were collected and planted in 1946 in the collection stands Nikitsky botanical garden. Collection annually expanded and currently has about 330 varieties and forms . During the years of study of garnet in the Nikitsky botanical garden as a result of breeding work was created by a huge hybrid material in gossortoispytanie transferred Nikita Early varieties , Krimsky Striped grade garnet Juicy 110 included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine Crimea. As a result of years of study versatile varieties of pomegranate Nikitsky botanical garden varieties and hybrids for use in Farmland - the best quality fruit , high-yielding , early and middle periods of ripening .
