White shoots on fig stem found in compost bin

Hie all as i was turning the compost in the compost bin i came across some fig branches that had rooted and shoots were coming out of the sides. I immediately planted them in pots and gave them a diluted seaweed concentrate to help with the transplanting process.

The shoots that came out were white and not green due to lack of sunlight in the compost bin i assume. Will they turn green again and will i need to put them in some sunny spot or leave them in the shade?

Its winter here in Australia and all my other fig trees have gone dormant. I have attached some images

You might want to put a humidity dome of some sorts over them until they harden up. I put one in a pot a week ago just like that and the sprout dried up.
"gene"

You have to expose those shoots very gradually to light.  Room light without direct sun will be fine to start.  Then work up slowly.  You can do this by starting out maybe 2 meters from a fluorescent light and gradually moving the plant closer.  It's a good idea to slowly wean from high humidity to low, especially in the winter when room humidities are often under 10%, as was mentioned.

Thank you all for your advice.

I will put bags on them. They are currently sitting in an unheated garage and  its quite warm compared to the outside air but colder than the house interior

I'll update on my progress

Just thought i'd update on the progress. The one in the second picture (Green Bucket) has leafed out! i did what the other users suggested. I put a sandwhich bag with a moist paper towel and then tied it to the stem. I was skeptical but after a month and a half i removed it as i noticed a little bit of green on the white shoots. and then when spring broke, it fully leafed out. The one in the first and 3rd pic did not make it. Most of the roots fell off during the potting process. Here is the photo of the successful one below.

How cool compost bin fig.

Bonus fig!,now comes the interesting but, working out which tree is the mummy!.This year my compost bin also gave up some gifts, mango's.I usually just chuck the mango seeds in the compost bin because I always screw up are its to grow them and gave up.The bin must have a warm humid environment.Mine is a black plastic bin and must oabsorb a lot of heat+ provide bottom heat(it's super efficient at rotting down).I have one growing healthily in my front room and about 3 others in a poor state in my unheated mini greenhouse,I'll have to bring them in when I can fun the space or they aren't going to survive the winter.I imagine the compost bin isn't a great place for sterility, maybe why the other cuttings didn't make it?.Still cool results

yep definitely a bonus fig. there were 2 cuttings this one that made it and the other one (its 2 pictures of the same one) if that makes sense. both sent shoots. The one that did not make it had small roots that fell off during the potting process as they were loose for some reason? The other one that made it had a stronger root system. I should mention that they were in an unheated garage for about half the time and then i took them outside in a sheltered place with a bit of sun.

My compost bin is mostly green with a black cover. it does the job really well in breaking things down even in winter. I actually uncovered some black gold at the bottom cavity after taking it apart for a rebuild. :) i believe my figs enjoy it!

I would name that "The Walking Dead" Fig

haha nice. Its actually a pruned brown turkey offcut that i probably dumped into the compost bin. My neighbor has one next to the fence. I could name it "The Walking Dead Drown Turkey" :)
