Wow, they really look nice. If you have Joe Morle's Black Triana also,  wondering if it had a similar breba?

I have been considering ordering from him this spring. I would like to get a Tarentella, and was also thinking about either of the Triana's too, leaning more towards YES after seeing your pic!

Christy,i still got 3 more cuttings of White Triana..you want them??..it's free. Marius

Marius, is that tree in the ground or in a pot? If it is in the ground what zone are you in? Dan has mentioned that tree very highly if I remember correctly.

Susan, they are in 20 gal walmart pots.

HI Marius!

I sent you a PM, let me know if you did not get it. Thanks again!

A question about the 20 gallon Walmart pots,,,, are those the ones that have rope as handles that they sell as tubs or actual garden pots? How do they hold up over the years?

Yes,the ones with the ropes as handles.BTW,Cristhy i've send your cuttings today.

Those are the best containers, great looking tree!

Wow! Thanks so much Marius! I will have to find a way to thank you!

I have used those Walmart bins for other plantings. I just wish that they would make them in a not so bright color! LOL! I am sure painting them would not be an option since painting plastic would not last long. But you cannot beat the price compared to an actual 20 gallon pot. I have a miniature tree in one of them and it has done fine.

Again, thank you much Marius!

Those are fine. That is the only one of his varieties that I don't but it is worth parsing the orders out just for the treat of his packing! My Tarantella has brebas almost as big as yours. Also, as a landscaper I recommend calling a few. We contractors always have 15 gallon and up containers some of which are quite stout and designed for years of outdoor use.

c'est la vie

....adios to the green shoots. So unfortunate Marius. Hope it is limited to few trees. I have been keeping most of my trees in the garage. Had 2 terrible experiences that took out all my trees green stems. In my area, the threat of a nasty frost/cold is present till end of May. Hence if I do take them out I would need to have tarps on the ready. A night of frost would do damage to both breba & main crop figs.

Hi Marius,

I just wanted to let you know that i received my cuttings this weekend! Thank you again so much for your generousity! I hope to return the favor to you one day!

Christy

Noss, In my case I just used a large tarp over the many pots and I tie the tarp down. It worked for me. Temp was definitely in the low 20'sF. I know it was at least -5*C and windchill would be -10*C or more over a period of 2 to 3 days(24hours).
