Who is Ebay seller valarie1582?

I just bought a tree from this seller on EBay, and I think valarie1582 is on these forums under a different name.

That would be brianm

Looks like it's Brian M. http://www.ourfigs.com/forum/figs-home/21934-ice-crystal-on-ebay. That makes sense from what else I've gathered.

Sounds great. Thanks.

yep, Brian M over there, brianm here

I have bought several things from Valerie before and I was always happy with this seller

Very happy with my tree from Brian/Valerie. It came in perfect condition and was extremely well packaged.

I have bought a few trees from Brianm/Valerie1582 and I was very happy.  One tree got slightly damaged in shipping and subsequently died.  Brian immediately sent a replacement.  Excellent condition and quick!

Thanks friends, my wife handles the eBay account

Brian sells some great varieties for good prices. I'm a happy customer too. =)

I assume her name is Valerie? :D

So glad you posted this question, I had no idea Valerie1582=BrianM! I was unsure of the source so I didn't buy before but now I have my much loved warm & fuzzies :) It'll be a go from here on out!

I am a happy customer too.  Picked up two varieties last year and bought a another variety this year. Good experience and very nice cuttings every time.

I also one of the buyers of valerieXXXX on eBay.
The plants are OK but the packaging could be improved a bit. I suggest to use live Sphagnum moss instead of paper when shipping internationally.

Thank you for the feedback. It seems everyone has different prefered methods for shipping cuttings.

Great to hear!

I've bought White Kadota cuttings from this person two different times and I've been thrilled with what I received.  From my experience, the White Kadota cuttings have taken me a good month to root as I believe that is just the nature of this particular variety.  Of all the varieties I have, this variety has the most interesting limb features.  The surface bark has an almost light, silvery sheen and they are very knurly and twisty.  I think it is going to be an outstandingly interesting looking tree.  I'm sure the fig will taste just fine, but this one I'm more interested in the tree shape.

Just bought a Kadota on eBay from Brian. Should do well in Texas temps from what I have researched.

Yes it loves the heat

Received package from Brian today. Apparently USPS didn't understand what Fragile means when they decided to shove it into my mailbox today.

I repotted the Kadota in light soil medium and watered it with highly diluted Superthrive to help it get over any initial shock. Will post a picture tomorrow on progress.

Got my tree and cuttings from Valarie/Brian today. All is good so far. The tree is great. The package was slightly roughed up, perhaps not as badly as yours.

After repotting and watering with highly diluted Superthrive to help it get over initial shipping shock the Kadota seems to be fine as of this morning. The leaves are now perking up and looking much better.

Sorry to hear about the shipping damage. Don't be surprised if the tree drops the leaves. Sometimes they do that after stress, however these trees are strong and coming out of dormancy. Looking good.
