Don't see a copy of your import permit,
you claimed to have previously and imported with.
We'll keep that in mind as a determination for the veracity of any of your future statements.

Abate-  have a potential need for abate, but thanks for your concern.

enough said jack. you are quick to pick over other people's wrong, but won't admit to your mistakes.

i remember reading this on my son's kindergarten wall.

"

"All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten"

by Robert Fulghum

Most of what I really need
To know about how to live
And what to do and how to be
I learned in kindergarten.
Wisdom was not at the top
Of the graduate school mountain,
But there in the sandpile at Sunday school.

These are the things I learned:

Share everything.
Play fair.
Don't hit people.
Put things back where you found them.
Clean up your own mess.
Don't take things that aren't yours.
Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.
Wash your hands before you eat.
Flush.
Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
Live a balanced life -
Learn some and think some
And draw and paint and sing and dance
And play and work everyday some.
Take a nap every afternoon.
When you go out into the world,
Watch out for traffic,
Hold hands and stick together.
Be aware of wonder.
"

Thanks for the lesson,
maybe share that wisdom with your fig yuku buddies.

Also, I apologize to you
for pointing out your estimate from Baud was 4 years old and no longer accurate.
So yes, in 2011, your estimate would have been correct, today in the present, no.
Sorry if that upset you somehow,
I know how it can difficult for those who live in the past to deal with the present.
Please return to the regularly scheduled alcoholic beverage of your choice  :-)

What do these all have in common ?

Review the names of all those who had negative comments on this thread.
These individuals all have one thing in common.

They are all members of Fig Yuku forum.

No other F4F member had anything negative to say.
Only  F4F members that also happen to be Fig Yuku members,
only these people engaged in this activity.

Coincidence or Clique,
the answer is obvious.

Consider the fact some of  of these individuals sell on ebay,
and their motive becomes clear.

Just sayin'

Read post #104

Pete clearly stated "price might have changed".
So how is that living in the past?

Nit pick much? Like to leave out some points and comment on others?

Oh and btw, not "ALL" f4f members involved in is discussion are from yuku as you so stated on your last post. But nice try.

Exactly right !

Only the ones who have continuously attacked me are.

Point out a member that had something negative to say
who is not also a member on Fig Yuku

You can't, so thus your statement is not valid,
much like most of your others as well.

Have a nice day.

Your nuts and your wrong. Not only Yuku members have your number, Your always touting the facts, well get them straight for once. Drama Queen crap again. Oh I'm a big ebay seller with my 2 listings total for figs

You said "ALL".
Which leads me to believe you are including me. So I ask you, how do you link me (rafed) to fig yuku?
I am not a member with the yuku forum.

As far as I know, I am one of those who been a great part of this discussion. Are we not talking about the same topic?

it took you that long to come up with an excuse for not being able to tell the difference between 50 cuttings and 50 varieties, or the fact i have clearly indicated quoted price is from 2011? jack, i thought you can do better than that. give it another try. tear into it more.

find something better to bite into. i never sold a cutting in my life. they are given away freely as i see fit. only things i share with other members are ones that i have actually grown and tasted. i don't ask for shipping back, i don't care to have others pay for gift.. oh sorry.. that's a bad business practice.

what have you done for the forum or the fig community? the game is called "put up or shut up". rafed, barry, navid, and dan along with others have helped large number of forum members. they provided cuttings without asking for a dime. oops.. sorry.. you are in this for money. make sure everyone knows you are the only one, as mistakenly viewed as it might be, with proper permit and clearance. dang sorry again, i'm busting your bubble.. anyone can import figs if given time and little bit of money. oops.. sorry again. dang.. it looks like you are just becoming big nothing at this point.

when you have given away as much as any one of your so called "fig.yuku.com members".. wait, rafed has never been to that forum.. oops. wrong again.

dang, jack.. check your facts.. you are starting to sound like a leaky faucet.

i expect better sound bites, don't waste your time typing garbage. give something that would be more interesting. my 2 yr old puppies can bark better than that.

Can we move on, please?

Instead of trying to knock others down, we should always try to build others up.  Sometimes that may be through constructive criticism, but that often should be done privately.

Pete, I liked the Kindergarten wisdom information, think I will print that out.

I have been tempted to buy some figs that were listed on eBay in other countries but don't like surprise visits from APHIS.  I had such a visit two years ago but they were friendly and left here satisfied.  I have not imported any figs, don't need that sort of trouble since my farm helps provide for my livelihood (also helps a lot to have a wife with a good job, LOL).  Still, I'm guessing that some figs I have bought came into the USA illegally but I don't care to spend my time investigating that.  When I hire a farm worker I need to get an I-9 to check their legal status.  Figs don't come with any such ID.

I think this is the fourth post where you have said Drama Queen,
with not much else added to your posts,
and for the sole purpose of attacking.

Coincidentally  one of the very first members of Fig Yuku.

amazing the coincidences that are occurring on this thread.
maybe I should play the lottery today.

Going offshore later tonight,
so hopefully Fig Yuku Detective Nkesh099
will be able to report back about his investigative reporting
into my claimed fake import permits.

Can some of you please tone down the surging testosterone? Tucked between the attacks and counterattacks, there has been some interesting discussion in this thread.

And, yes, women should rule the world.

Would love to.
Get the kids to stop with their ridiculous and repeated attacks,
and I will be happy to stop slapping back into place with facts and reality.

Ending for me tonight anyway,
going offshore for a few days.
So the fig witches will be able to stir their pot at will.

I do appreciate your demeanor in this thread.

PS.  Some figs actually do come with ID's or undisputable  provenance,
unfortunately the majority do not, and that shortcoming has  become the standard in many cases.

Thanks for correcting me,
so with Queenie in this one,
we are now up to 3 times.
Admire your consistency,
but not your lack of creativity.

Just keeping track to be accurate,
thanks for your assistance.

gina and harvey,

sorry i'm getting ugly. just trying to have some fun.

Jack, have fun fishing (I'm guessing).

Yes, I often have thought that women might do a better job running the world though some women, when mad, have been worse than any crazy guy I've seen! LOL  Pope Francis is pretty cool in my book.

Saint Therese of Lisieux has a nice movie about her.  One of the other nuns was being quite mean to her but Therese kept smiling at her and it finally drove the other nun crazy and she finally asked her why she was smiling at her.  Therese told her "Because I love you."  The other nun stormed off but later they became good friends.

There are many useful quotes from Saint Teresa of Calcutta.  This is, perhaps, the most popular:

Quote:
Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.

There are many others that can be useful to all of us (even if you are not a "believer"): http://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/838305.Mother_Teresa

Hey, Dennis!  How about those figs??!! :)

That's great analogy Harvey.

I guess we're perceived as the mean nuns while Hungryjack is Saint Therese? That's a twist.
But it's all good. I know it's nothing personal,,, all business.

I have nothing but love and respect for you Harvey. I'm not going to pick a fight with you.

Take care

Rafed, I didn't intend to say anybody was being a mean nun.  I was hoping everyone would use St. Therese as an example.  I think several people think they are being attacked so that example can be useful.

The mean nun is in the eye of the beholder? LOL

I start my eBay auctions out at $.99 for two cuttings.  That's not expensive unless you're from a developing country in which case you shouldn't be buying any fig cuttings that go for high prices.  I don't hype anything I sell.  I have made positive comments about some figs that I really like and don't think anything is wrong with that.  Some cuttings I paid something like $50 for two cuttings last year I've gotten as low as $5 this year so I won't make much money but still have some nice fig trees.  Some people really want things and bid up prices just like I have done myself when buying something.  It's all okay, IMO.

I think I may have confused some people as to whose side I am on or something like that.  I'm on your side, okay?

I think everyone here has something to contribute.  Some have a rough way of saying things and I've been guilty of that.  I think if we all got together and had a beer or glass of wine (not too many!!!), we'd get along fine.

I'm 56 and feeling old though I hope to be around for at least another 30 years.  Still, life is too short to spend it fighting.

Most statements of disagreement would be more effective if one would make greater use of "I" than "you", for what it's worth.

I just took a look at my fig cuttings again that I've got rooting.  Many are some of the more rare and valuable types.  They look good and life is great. :)

Okay, here are some more quotes from St. Teresa, in case you didn't bother to click on the link (valuable insight for free!!!)

“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”

“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.”

It's all good Harvey I usually don't get very involved in forum fights but this guy has done quite a bit to cause trouble hidden in the guise of different forum names then he comes on here sounding like the voice of reason all the while with his own agenda and phony as a 3 dollar bill. This time it just irked me enough to tell him. You are correct though it is always best to take the high road, not always easy though

Harvey you trouble maker :)

I'm sorry! :)
