Wife's onboard now with my new fig obsession :)

She always gets a chuckle out of my passion for growing things because I likely (ok I do!!) go overboard when I become interested in something. A few years ago it started with hardy kiwi and now I have 17 or so varieties. Then it was blackberries and raspberries. Now with the figs its the same thing lol. Well the other night we went out for supper at Milestones and for an appetizer we had this baked goats cheese with fig preserve or jam that we spread on these flat bread wedges and another thin baked bread. Boy was it good!!!! It was the first time I've had fig jam myself and combined with the goats cheese it was fantastic!

She asked me if I would be able to make jam from the plants I'm growing and of course I said sure..... as long as I grow enough :)

Tyler

Hi Tyler does your wife eat the figs also .
I aske as mine hates them off the tree but enjoys the spread with cheeses.

She's never had one actually. Until last year when I saw some in the grocery store I hadn't either. So we're both looking forward to trying some homegrown ones.

Hey Tyler,

Try Bass' Fig & Walnut jam or his recipe.  Outstanding!  I had to do eveything in my power not to eat all four jars all at once.

Attaboy tyler! The perfect response and timing of it.
