I sure would hate to see these left hanging. I'm hoping there is enough warm weather left to get these to ripen.

You'd probably have a better chance if you thinned them.
I pinched the top months ago and thought that would do it. I try to take off the smallest of the punch.
Tom i noticed your pictures are dated like mine.Reason for me is easy documenting various things.Next season when you see the embryo's appear on your plants take pictures so you can go back to them and know how many days they been on your various plants .Usually about 80 days or so from that point .
Is that a general rule of thumb for all figs? I know I have some other pictures that I took earlier. I'll have to check to see if they had dates on them. That's a good idea. Thanks
For all figs i do not know , for my yard its a decent estimate.
Martin, Do you think he should thin? How many should he leave? TMC, correct me if I'm wrong but your first frost is usually in late October and by the third or 4th week in Sept you will no longer have temps over 80, right?
That seems about right although it's still hot and humid this weeks. Lows are getting in the 60's now at night.
Here is a Barnissotte changing color on a second tree that is very root bound. I've noticed that trees that I have that are very root bound will produce larger figs and earlier than identical varieties in larger containers.
I had one Barnissotte today, after 3 days of rain and was not pleased with the taste...
