Based on taste,to-date 2013 in my zone, Dark & coloured figs are Winners. Some high quality dark/coloured ones have been Dark Portuguese, Rosetta, Gypsy, GM#1, VdB, Petite Aubique, Nardi Blk, Domenico Ital/Swiss, Red Lebanese(Marius), Moscatel Preto, Elana, Gypsy, Aldo, Enrico, H.Chicago, Longue d'Aout(main crop), RdB, German Red, Colasanti Dark, O'Rourke, Large Greek Dark, Salem Dark.

The stand out for me (Dark) is Colar, Niagara Black is also excellent as far as white ones, Panachee was good but not excellent, maybe better next year.

Very impressive collection Paully22.  Can't wait to have a few of those tree's producing!

White ones that stood out for me are MaryLane, JH Adriatic, Faliciano, Desert King, Yugo Yellow. Ruby 4 is not bad too.

Petite Aubique was the top one this year (so far). And I had a St. Rita today. It tasted like mulberries. Delicious. Other good ones have been Black Weeping, Preto and Black Greek.
