Winter Hurry Up Already

Well figs are doing good in garage as weather has been between 20 and 30 as of late with a little cold spell this weekend. Had a little disting of an inch or so today but whoa you folks back east night get whacked !
The ones under grow light are coming along, after cutting all leaves off the ischia black out of frustration about a month or so ago its putting out a few leaves now, one madeira in garage sleeping well and one in house dropped most leaves but has maybe new growth on top along with maybe a fig not sure yet, Sals Corleone is growing really well, Dark Portuguese is holding its own a little slow, Kalamata Black is doing very well, Native De Aregentile is starting to grow leaves now and has a lot of new little buds most i have seen on such a small stick out of anything i have grown so far. My Abruzzese plants sad to say did not make it. I rooted a plant finally for my italian friend who brought a stick from italy several years back and gave me that took 3 years to bear 1 fruit so far that was last season, his plant never made it , this so far along with EL Sals have been the hardest to root for me for some reason both dark types, hopeing next season to get more fruit from it so i can see how good it is as it will be its 4th season .

Don't worry dieseler, the spring is around the corner though the corner may be a bit farther away.
You said you had difficulty with Sal's El rooting but my SAL's EL cutting rooted and shooted and became a small plant in two weeks, no mold or any other hiccup but just like clock work even though I talk a lot about mold. Go figure (as JON will say).

Ottawan, yes i cannot figure it out some have no problem rooting that particular type, 2 different people i sent out sticks to had similar results like me and some have no problem rooting it.
Dan gee thats not good they might die to the ground level or will it kill plant completely you think?

dieseler
I don't believe frost bites will kill the root system and more so if in the ground but depending on how late in the spring the leaves burn from frost bite take place, the plant will become a vegetative guest for the rest of the growing season with no fruit or late fruiting rseulting in little chance of ripening. Here in Zone 5a in our location frost bite can be expected to burn leaves as late as the first (& 2nd) week of May. This delays new leafing out and overall delay with very low or no expectation of fruits.
