My babies are cozy in the hoop house at least. They will be ready whenever the warm weather decides to show up.

~thanks i hope you are right ~!

Ouch   that reminds me when I lived in Michigan.  The day I moved to Florida there was five feet of snow on the ground.  Ugh.  That year there was snow from Halloween until almost Easter the following year.   I have never been to anywhere since then that had snow.    I am also blessed to have a well for my irrigation.    wow guys  I didnt  know that water in cali was that dire.

Yep, the water situation is dire in CA or so they say...I have a hard time believing it when Hershey's plant takes 80 million gals from our water shed to bottle and sell back to us or the water wasted flacking for oil and so many other big-business wasteful uses (like rice farms). Sometimes I wonder if what we are told is the true truth and not a version of the truth to benefit big business but scare us into using less. Guess I'm getting jaded in my old age.

Sue,
Wish we could trade you fresh water in exchange for some of that California Sun!

Instead of (or in addition to) another oil pipeline north to south, how about we do a water pipeline east to west ;-)
I take it that the Sierra Nevada Mountains did not get a lot of snow this winter...?

I (like Aaron) am also in NJ.  I must say, this last snowstorm was particularly beautiful.  The snow was wet enough to cling to all the branches...yet not so heavy that it cause a lot of damage and power outages.  The sun came out the next day and began melting the snow off the tree branches...which fell down in clumps is if it was still snowing again!
Cheers,
Jim
